this road is pretty wide and all the traffic goes south or west, I can't really say how good the spot is cause I got lucky and got picked up by a truckie without even having my thumb out.....―Anonymous

A really good spot to hitch north from Rockhampton. Walking distance (about 5 km) from city centre. Good space for cars/trucks to stop! I got a ride to Mackay!―Anonymous

Shade whole day and a cable pole to lean on. Almost no traffic, so take whatever going to Rockhampton or Townsville. I spent here almost 2 days. Cars have a place to stop and are driving slowly. Closer to town center there is a truck stop.―Bursztyn

Really good spot to hitch north, a lot of traffic and a lot of place for cars to stop. Still took me.l over 45 minutes to get a ride. It was straight to Mackay―miguel_nsilva
