WHAT A LUCK! We got to the parking spot through a hole in a fence (no other way around), got hastled by police and then got a sandwich at the Viva. Its open till midnight and we headed out of there at 11 pm. Thought we were going to sleep somewhere around till morning, fortunately, my friend thumbed a car for fun right when we got out of the gas station and they took us right to our city! Great spot for the ride out of Vienna, its walkable distance to get there, if youre adventurous :)―Torysek

Had a sign saying Bratislava and stood next to the motorway entrance. Most cars were leaving the motorway to go to the industrial district, but after 25 minutes I got picked up by two Serbian guys around 30 driving directly to Bratislava. The gas station isn't frequented much, I think a sign works better here than asking people filling up their tanks. Good spot to go East―Mangoontheroad

Amazing spot direction Czechia. Got a ride in less than 5 minutes half way to Znojmo. Probably the best spot for this direction, cars dont go too fast, u can get there by taking the U6 and then by a bus or walk few minutes. the place to stop is big enough and it is blocked of so there are no cars driving through there. U can stand in front of the spot behind the barriers so that the cars see u early enough.―Filipnatripu

A bad spot but we were extremely lucky. We (M+F) got dropped off in Baden by our previous driver (we were trying to get from Czechia to Bosnia) so we were just trying to get out of there back on the hughway but a kind older lady took us all the way to Leibnitz.If you ever end up in Baden this bus station is the only possible spot to get on the highway I think.

We asked around the petrol station but there were just locals and nobody going longer distance on the highway so we eventually put up a sign to Wiener Neustadt and stood before the traffic lights on the opposite side of the crossroad. The cars have to stop there so they see you and they can wait for you on the bus stop or at the petrol station. A couple eventually took us but only to Baden (which was a mistake probably).―kamens64
