They completely changed the on-ramp (works finished at the end of 2013), and it's even worse now. I thinks it's a good idea to try to get a ride elsewhere, like at the traffic lights just before the new bridge, if you're coming from Geel.―Anonymous

We came got here very late (8pm) and I think that was the problem. We needed to go to Liege but most of the cars were going to Brussels of Leuven. We weren't lucky this time. Avoid HH in dark!―Thejourneyramino

It is not a great place as there is no place on the onramp for people to pull over, but there isa fair amount of cars passing by coming out of one direction who can pull over before the traffic lights. Sign definately helps here―Shadi jg

There's nothing special about this spot, but for me, it's the spot where I have the lowest average waiting time. Hitchhiked here about 20 times and never waited longer than 2 minutes. Always used a sign.―Anonymous
