Fairly good spot but not so good for the car to stop. People had great smiles and were indicating that they were locals and not going to the gas station at Leuven…..a man took us later in the evening to the next big gas station on the E40 highway…….otherwise we (me, my girlfriend and our dog) could stand there hours and hours with so many good smiles and reactions from people!―NTKtriohitch

The road to enter is strange, a lot of cars exiting the E40, not using the station then re-entering the E40. It’s not worth trying to stop them, they’re going too fast. We waited at the entrance to the service station, the exit is better as you can catch the cars as they’re leaving―Breno

A guy and a girl on a Thursday at noon without a sign. It was a good spot : there is little place to stop, but traffic is good and slow. It might be a bit dangerous, but not so much and two cars stopped to help us in 10min. We got a ride with the second car to the petrol station in the direction of Brussels.―JumpingRabbit

Walked here from Leuven, asked around, two of them were going to Brussels and the third one happened to be a couple living near London, so I got a ride from here through Eurotunnel all the way to north of London. And they ended up being worried that I will get stuck hitchhiking out of the London bubble, so they bought be a crazy expensive train ticket to Manchester, so I got to my friend’s place by the evening! ☺️―anettlee17

Motorway services, last one before Brussels Urban area (Shell) is a good spot to either ask for a ride that goes directly into Brussels or maybe even further―Anonymous

One of the best spot in Brussels to hitch Westward in direction of Leuven (Vlaams-Brabant) and Limburg and join the E40, just hitch at the light (entrance of the park) with a sign before the entrance of the tunnel. There is a parking area just after the light where a car can pull over, mainly EU or business traffic. So more calm on Sunday.―Anonymous

This place is called "Delta", it is also a trainstation. It is a good place to go south, close to university buildings, where a lot of people hitchhike. Also, in the curve you see on the map, there is a large texaco gasstation. Good spot!―Anonymous
