last sidewalk before intersection to highway. straight road, cars go slow after supermarket. road towards mostar so lot of cars go that way! got very lucky and got ride straight to sarajevo. even stopped for coffee on the way. one thing to note - the road is quite steep from neum, in the heat it was awful to walk up. maybe try your luck closer to centre if you dont want to sweat.―Anonymous

Took a while to get a ride. Eventually got picked up by some Germans. Another guy also tried from here.―Anonymous

One male one female, signed Sokolac and a guy headed towards Han Pijesak took us. This gas station might not have shade but has plenty of pull off space and cars can see you clearlyDirection Zvornik/Belgrade

I just arrived from Zagreb and went to the Croatian border (where the cars go) where I talked to a police officer that told me to take the pedestrian way (basically you go left before the customs and go for a specific border control for pedestrians on the left). She was nice but I do not think they would accept you to hitchhike there. I crossed the Croatian border in 5mn, there was no queue (advantage of hitchhiking a border versus having a car or being in a bus). Then I went on the bridge and started to hitchhike. The cars go very slow there. I had a cardboard sign "Sarajevo". A lady took me straight to Sarajevo !―particulefine

Not the best spot to hitchhike but haven’t seen a better one. A student lived directly at the round about and saw me standing with a sign. Luckily he had to go to Mostar.―Anonymous

Eventually made it here after trying a few spots further westward. Cars going fairly slowly and there is a bus layby for them to pull in behind you.―adambarnard

The cars go fairly slowly, there's big space to stop, and most cars are driving out of Sarajevo.―Anonymous

A lot of traffic, used a sign SARAJEVOA, managed to get a ride somewhat quickly. Easy to stop for the cars on the roadside, also great shadows!―denisundav

Low traffic, we were super lucky and like the third vehicle that went by took us to Mostar. Used a sign Mostar/Tarčin/Konjic. Dream big is the lesson learned.―denisundav

Busy traffic, we wanted to head to Mostar, with a sign Mostar we eventually got a right to Hadzici, as we panicked haha. Eventually worked out for us, but would not recommend. This spot is not great but not terrible, cars have plenty of space to pull over, but rarely did the drivers react to us. (I guess they were mad cause Bosnia got eliminated from the world cup the night before.) Not everyone is going to Mostar/south, so expect to wait a little - be patient, unlike us!―denisundav

We got a ride with a sign Mostar pretty quickly but the spot is mid - cars going fast, lots of cars going just locally.―simsvob
