First I tried hitchhiking to Chichu on the opposite side of the right turn. Almost impossible and got stopped by border police. No problem with the police.In the end, a guy stopped his car at the spot I marked and said my current spot was horrible. He drove me all the way to the ferry. Not many people are going there.
Would recommend to get dropped off in center and hitch on DN3B.
