I hitchhiked once from here to Slobozia because I was too lazy to walk to Drajna village. It's possible but it's much better from the village.―Anonymous

This is a good hitchhiking spot although there is no gas station; it's not a fixed spot, there is maybe a 1 km range along the village; personally I prefer to go closer to the railway (there are some places to eat though, cheap). There is a barrier crossroad with railways and a couple of times per day there are long queues of cars waiting, you can just walk around and ask people or waive a sign and see if anyone winks at you. There is a lot of traffic in this location all day long (I got a ride at 10:30 pm really fast but be very careful when it's late... of course this is general rule). Even if the barriers are not down cars still have enough space to stop for you and are going slow enough. You can find destinations Slobozia, Buzau, Galati, Braila or towards Constanta/Bucharest of the other side of the road.If you are in a car that goes Bucharest-Constanta or the other way, you could try to ask the driver to make a small detour (3-4 km) and leave you right there so you don't have to walk. If the driver just leaves you on at the highway exit it's not impossible to walk but you have to be careful because there is no pedestrian way, you have to walk on the side of the road. It may take 25-30 minutes to get here from the highway exit.

Another good hitchhiking spot. There is a gas station here, you can ask people around but it's usually much faster to stay with your sign on the road (DN21) after the gas station exit. Best place to hitchhike to Braila/Galati.―Anonymous
