Got a lift to Ploiesti thanks Drago. Way more plate with PH (Ploiesti) and BV (Brasov). IMO better option than the marks before. People care more about you in this case station. Get ready because it's hard to get out of Bucarest lol. We waited +2 hours in the bus station Gara Baneasa.―cavalierrustique

Waited there half hour, pointless. Cars from Bucarest or the periphery. Even going to Ploiesti you won't find a lot of cars going there. Better to take the bus to the airport!! Way easier especially for Ploiesti, can bé lucky for Brašov top. Actually someone was going there but asked for money like often in Romania.―cavalierrustique

Nobody stopped in about 2 hours. The other hitchhikers have been really lucky I think. Moving to the gas station nearby―cavalierrustique

Waited 1h30 for a lift to Timisaora or Bucarest. Lot of Romanian Cars but traffic is not important. Thanks Richars―cavalierrustique

Good vision, cars moving at a medium pace, space for drivers to pull over in bus bay. Had a sign to Ploiesti but was aiming for Brasov driver was nice enough to show me the castle in Sinaia―Xavybaby

Driver before helped me ask for a ride across the ferry to Bucharest when my plan changed from Constanta to there. Might not be as good if you don’t have help asking for a ride.―Xavybaby

I found a guy willing to take me to the western part of the city almost immediately, from where I hitchhiked further.―martih

This is likely a good spot, during the working week, when the trucks are on the road, but during the weekend, it is mid. The traffic was relatively infrequent, and people told me they weren't going to Constanta; I'm not sure if I should believe them. I unpacked my lunch here and ate it in the shade, so it did not bother me that much. After that, a car picked me up, got me to Vama Veche, and helped me find a summer job, so that was nice.―martih

I got lucky here and convinced a guy to bring me near an exit for Constanta. I didn't spend much time here, but I think the traffic was decent.―martih

Ok, this is likely a great spot, but I just didn´t have a lot of luck. It was night and asking around, the majority go just locally, don´t speak English, or are going on vacation with full cars. But after 4 hours asking around, I found some Slovaks who took me to Bucharest.―martih

You can try here (it's close to the tram) but you might want to walk on to the next point I marked.―Anonymous

*The* starting point to get to Brasov. Many cars most of the day. Get tram nr. 5 or 3xx buses to Baneasa airport.―Anonymous

from all the country this i think is the hardest route to hitchhike (bucharest-ploiesti). this i think is the best place but, the trucks don't usually stop here and the drivers from Bucharest just past by. you will find eventually.―Despdfr
