I was hitchhiking here with my thumb and spent there more than 20 minutes in cold wind. Most of the traffic coming to this intersection is bound for Toronto so I decided to walk to the east intersection with this Highway at east part of Oshawa, got lucky there.―Eoin

The guy who picked me up did not know what hitchhiking was, I had to explain. He took me to Ajax out of desire to help, telling me that the neighborhood is only ethnic people and that they dont tend to "get" what I was doing. The driver was from Sri Lanka. I don't even think my explanation made sense for him in the end.―Globestoppeuse

Take the go train to Oshawa and walk onto the highway ramp. Ignore the no pedestrian/bike signs. Ask the driver, if they aren't going too far, if they can drop you of at an onroute. Got a direct ride to Montreal from the next onroute station.―Anonymous

Plenty of space to stop and passing on ramp, but nobody seemed to care, so it seems like it's mostly metropolitain traffic.―Anonymous
