I started hitchhiking at the Shell gas station, however two locals indicated me this spot as THE spot to go Southbound.Great place to pull over, but unlucky at night.
Finally got a short ride from Mathew, as I was walking in between cars stopped at the traffic light.

Anyone will give you a ride on Salt Spring. We got one within about 5 minutes, and they ended up taking us swimming at a beautiful beach on the way to Ganges! That's just the kind of place it is :)―Anonymous
