Hitchhiked by night, lots of traffic coming back from snow day in Whistler. Red light is long enough to go between cars with a sign. Once you got a ride, they can easily pull over if needed, after the traffic light.

Gas station also available, didn't try tho.

Got a ride from Cedric, a French guy who travel a lot as well. Good convo as we were jammed in traffic.

Followed instructions on Hitchwiki.
Few cars in a sunday morning, but ended up getting a ride from an Iranian couple, Dina & Sarhad in no time.
They were lovely, made a stop to the Shannon Falls, highly recommend.

Beautiful road, enjoy the scenery !

The road is straight and the shoulders are wide past the intersection. Lots of room for drivers to see you and pull over.

Very good spot, if you are going to vancouver. It's right after lights and cars could stop here. Wait less than 5 min.

You can easily go to Squamish or Whistler from here. We waited a bit because a lot of cars were full but all hikers here are very friendly.

This spot is pretty fast. But the visibility is ok, and there is room to pull off the road.

There is a trail system that runs along the highway, follow it until you find the maintenance access. Dont jump or vandalize the fence. There is a gate, jump it or you can wade through the bramble... and you'll be on the highway. Hitching is fairly common in this area so you shouldn't have to wait too long.

Easy access, good visibility, slow traffic, lots of room to pull off. Most traffic will be going to Whistler or Pemberton area.

You can easily go down the city from this parking lot exit.

2 hikers in a big Jeep took us exactly where we wanted to go (Garibaldi Lake Trail, Rubble Creek Trailhead), we were very lucky!
