Spot for hitching north towards Tocopilla, Iquique. Take bus 102, 103, 112, 114, 129 that go to La Chimba. If someone offers you a lift to Mejillones go for it and get off at peaje a few miles before the exit.―Anonymous

When I was there the were some road works, so there was only one line and slow traffic.But it's not bad spot - there is a place to stop for cars and you are visible.
