Great south but I don't think that there is a god spot to hitchhike ferry across to Germany further south so I decided to go through Jutland and took first offer in that direction

Very good spot with a lot of traffic coming in waves from the traffic light down the road. Easy for cars to pull over in the dead end street before the gas station or in the gas station. Waited no more than 20 minutes before I got a ride to Aarhus. I was hoping to take the northern way with the boat, but we went west and then north from Jylland instead.

Got stopped by the police, apparently you can't hitchhike at the bus stop or at the small space that there's on the left side of the road

Was going to Copenhagen, had a sign with CPH. (KBH would have been smarter I think) Stood at the exit of the parking lot and got picked up quickly by a Finnish family on holiday. There's also free toilet here and maybe even free shower, I didn't check if it cost anything but it looked pretty free to me. On a Friday morning in summer there was lots of traffic, also Germans.

11am on a Friday, was very lucky. I was dropped here by a guy going to hamburg (I needed to go to Rostock/copenaghen) and I think this was the best spot, better than the one just after.
There were quite a few cars and in the end a guy bought me all the way to copenaghen, ferry included.

really nice spot to get to sweden by a ferry !!
i found a guy with a boat that just drop me in holsinbourg with him on his boat 😸😸

btw a lot of cars on that spot and space for cars to stop just in front of the gas station.
place yourself on the bicyle line

(if u find no one try to get to the ferry before and ask cars to enter to get the ferry for free - the guy told me to do that at first)
wish u good luck😌

insane spot to get to københavn (copenhague but write that on the sign for locals)
i got taken to the airport in 5 minutes of waiting
> a lot of space for the cars to stop, there are getting slow bc it’s just after the roundabout, and u can be easily seen cuz it’s a bus stop
good luck but i’m sure u’re gonna be taken easily 😸😸😸

Great spot, easy for cars to stop at. It's the bus stop next to the Netto.

I used this spot ONLY due to construction and it being the replacement motorway in 21.6.2026 This spot probably isn't as good when the construction is over and the road back to normal.

Not a lot of people stopping.
Got picked up by two Danes transporting a comically large cup of coffe on the back. Hopefully I can attach a picture for the community to laugh at haha.

After 1,5h we got two ride-offers simultaneously! A German family offered to take us all the way to Hamburg with the ferry.
Tip: have a walk around in the ferry and use that time to network and find your next ride if you hear the language of the next country you’re heading towards! We heard a few Dutch families (but their cars were full).
