Drivers are quite a bit stressed and won't really pay attention to you, if there is a queue it's great so you can ask politely and explain that they won't have any extra fees. Not much traffic when I went so you just have to wait (if you go by feet the ticket is around 7€ so I'd suggest not wasting too much time here if it's not working)―alatrix

I wasn’t particularly a fan of this place, as there’s a bike lane between the sidewalk and the road, but I stood there and I got a ride in minutes to Helsingør, so I guess it’s okay. :)―anettlee17

The cars are lined up for the ferry to Sweden. Start with the first one and then work yourself backwards and ask for Stockholm (or any city on the way). If no one wants you, there is a new ferry in 20 min!―Anonymous

After one hour we (2 persons) took the train, cause every car was filled with beer. I thought it was going to be easy cause every car was lined up, however almost every car was filled with alcohol, we just couldnt fit in. If you're hithchiking alone, you might have a better chance.―Anonymous
