I was standing right between the highway and the exit. A truck driver stopped briefly at the exit and gave me a ride. From my point of view, it was a very good spot, but it could also have been luck.

Lots of cars were full, but then I found a Romanian guy driving home. He was a bit sketchy, so I only went with him until Hamburg.

We were asking around towards Kastrup or airport, as we wanted to go to Ørestad, most cars were either full or they just didn’t want to take hitchhikers. Eventually a man was going to pick up his wife in the airport and dropped us off in front of our couchsurfing host’s house.

An amazing Danish pilot going to Copenhagen took us in his fancy ass Mercedes AMG. 😃 So even if it isn’t a perfect stopping place, if people wanted to they can. :)

Relatively safe spot. There is room for the cars to stop, but larger cars might struggle.

We stood for five, maybe ten minutes, before being picked up. We we’re heading southwest to the ferries to Germany. We tried a few different spots nearby as well, but this was probably where most traffic was concentrated heading southwest along E20.

Spent almost three hours asking people for a ride with my 'Hamburg' sign. Eventually I got tired and moved to the exit of the station area — within 20 minutes, I caught a ride to Rødby.

The perfect spot. Got a ride to Karlslunde gas station. 2 male hitchhikers.

Technically a good spot with space to pull over. I was heading south and got stuck there at night, so I pitched my tent in a nearby neighbourhood. The next morning, I easily got a ride to Copenhagen — there’s a lot of traffic heading that way. It took me 5 minutes to get a ride on the morning.

Right after the traffic lights, there was plenty of space to pull over, and I got a short ride to Taastrup.

Much space to pull over, many cars going to south from Outlet. I was lucky and after 5 minutes I got a ride to Copenhagen

Got a ride all the way to bielefeld, germany with a sign saying germany, not a lot of cars stopping with my thumb up but eventually a man approached me while having lunch and he took me with him, great place to pet dogs as lots of people will walk them here

Lots of people leaving the capital area on the weekend.

Decent spot, lots of traffic but unfortunately not that many people friendly enough to be happy to hear you out. Ended up standing by the exit of the gas station and got picked up by a couple who took me all the way to Maribo.
Some people get lucky and get a ride to Rødby or even to Germany.
A sign definitely helps a lot!

Koge hitching spot, last ramp before E47/E20 fork. Not much traffic but good spot for cars to stop.Try to get trucks to Rodby or Odense!
