The spot is a little outside of Vaasa, but you can reach it with a bus. I waited 20 minutes until a truck gave me a ride to pori, but it was early noon in a workday, so I think it will be faster at other times. The spot is right after a traffic light and the cars can see you from a distance, there is plenty of space even for a truck to stop for you―Anonymous

I was here already in dark, not the best visibility and got quite some middle fingers, however got a ride also within 20-30 minutes, so I'd say this is indeed a really good spot for going north, definitely the best on this road―Anonymous
