We waited for approx 40 min, about 3 cars stopped during that time but went to other directions (we asked for Caen or Mont Saint Michel), then a super nice lady stopped for us and took us all the way to Mont Saint Michel. There’s shade and tables outside plus free toilets so overall good spot, but the food etc is really expensive there. We asked around and then stood at the exist without a sign. The traffic was pretty solid even between 4-5pm which is pretty good i guess?―Babuzkebabu

A lot of space for cars to pull over and take you, and a lot of tourists heading to Caen.Tried sitting here as 2 guys with a sign for Caen and got a ride directly to the city center within 15 minutes.

Tried to get a ride to Mont Saint-Michel as 2 guys, and after waiting 50 minutes, a French-Russian guy stopped and even though he lived somewhere between Rennes and Mont Saint-Michel, he took us directly to the gate at Mont Saint-Michel parking.―Anonymous

Not as many cars as on the road to Pontorson but many people take this one to reach Avranches and the highway to Caen. You can start trying already from the cross where this road starts, but a good place is this one, car can easily stop here.―Anonymous

I didn't like this place at all. We tryed to get to Brittany but it wouldn't work out. The cops even stopped to warn us that we couldn't stay on the highway (called 'les quatre voi') while we weren't on it already. I preferred to walk south where there is a better place to hitchhike―Anonymous

My family lives just 200meters away from this place. i've probably get more than 200 lift there in 8 years. stay near of the roundabout, drivers can see you and stop easily. between 0mn ~ 1hr of waiting. best between thursday en sunday nigth.―Anonymous
