For hitchhiking both towards Caen and Paris. Good point if you can't get to the highway outside town. Stand on the point where the intersection merges with the highway. Wide shoulders = easy to pull over. Drivers come from the intersection and the roundabout, so not driving to fast. Started 9:30, held a big sign, got a lot of sympathy until picked up 50 minutes later, a straight ride to Caen.―Anonymous

When we arrived there were already hitchhikers going to Le Mans, who told us that somebody going to Paris had already stopped there in the previous hour. We got a hitch fast, the funny thing was that an other hitchhiker arrived with a sign "Caen", so we had every possible direction layed out.―Wther

If you wan't to go north of Rouen, you might try this spot, cars can easily pull over, but there is lots of local traffic.―Anonymous

There are three lanes, two connecting into the roundabout and one extra on the side which provides enough space for the cars to stop. There is a lot of traffic going through with longer distances, trucks etc. Here I got a ride to Paris, but before that four other cars stopped for me with different destinations.―Anonymous

Cars going to Caen, Rennes, Nantes but quite fast because either they come out from a short underpass or they speed out of a roundabout. There is some space for them to stop, but since the ones coming out of the underpass would have to cross the other cars I find it a bit risky for them. I got taken by a hitchhiker after 30 minutes wait and hilding a sign to Rennes, because he said it's an unconvenient spot and he was going to Nantes.26, female.
