It is a good place. But we wanted to go to the Germany. There were many Germans on the gas station and they were completely full. So we waited there a long time. After that we got a long ride. Than we were said that in Germany there is some holiday ending. So everyone is heading back with full cars. It was a sunday noon - afternoon

Not a lot of traffic on Saturday early moening, but a good place, you will be seen qell and there is enough place to slow down

No room for cars to stop at the end of the station, but they are still doing it. Refused one ride to Paris and one to Dijon before heading to Besançon with someone going to Montbéliard.

good spot for paris, great spot for north east in the summer. many cars were full, loads of benelux and german license plates from homecoming holiday go-ers, if you are looking for a ride to paris, better to hunt down plates with 75 than to stand at the entrance to the petrol station. if talking to french drivers ask for direction paris as opposed to paris itself, they might be more likely to give a ride. we saw other hitchers here but they ignored us.

walking along this road at dusk in the summer we eventually thumbed a ride to Tailly where we could walk to the petrol station with good reviews in the morning. loads of nice spots to sleep at the lakes to the south.

loads of multinational plates, most people are going to lyon or further south. many cars parked here during the summer are full, so expect a little longer wait times. still, even in fierce rain we got a lift to Beaune in a little over an hour.

Strangely, amways got stuck here, trying to get something direction Paris. Other directions seemed better.

for going north (nancy) or direction paris it might be allright, but never try to get to straßbourg. we waited more than one hour before we decided to try it via metz (which was the better choice)

I waited 30mn at the peage with a sign for Auxerre/Paris. Nobody was going this way. I finally took a car going south (Lyon), got out on Aire de Beaune, crossed the highway and restarted asking for Paris, wich worked out quite easily.

Easy to go to Paris/North. You can cross the sides. If you come from the south and want to go to southern Germany, you have to bite the apple and try to go to direcion Besancon/Mulhouse. Should work within an hour.

Even at midnight you can get a ride, somehow useless to ask for truck drivers, refusing almost everytime for insurance reason (normal...)

Good Gasstation going north via Nancy/Metz (in the Daytime). The station suff kicked us out in the night :( But in the morning we catched a ride to Wiesbaden ... Quite impossible hitchhiking in the night here.

Good spot for Paris, best strategy is to ask parked drivers. Very busy with hitchers in summer it seems. A few British cars heading for Calais too.
