for us, it was not good. we were 3 people and we waited 5 hours for a lift down the road to Aire de Nemours. if you are alone or 2, it is probably better. two women turned up while we were waiting, they waited 10 minutes for a lift south. it is pretty easy to get to from Paris though.―Alifeee

Excellent spot pour aller vers le sud. Aire très accessible en rer D depuis Paris. Particulièrement intéressant pour la Bourgogne et Lyon―Mano75

I would advise against hitchhiking here. Although there were a lot of cars, I waited a long time with a sign "A5 Sens/Troyes". There was a homeless man asking the cars at the traffic light for money, and there was no place for them to stop except there.―Thibaud

I waited there about 2 hours on a wednesday afternoon, but I think that it is pretty decent for Paris. Initially I had a sign with A10 / Bordeaux / Aire de Limours written on it, but then I switched to keep only A10 and much more cars stopped, until I was taken to the Limours gas station. Nice shady little wating spot, with space for cars to stop. Good luck 😉―Oxyd23

We have waited 4 hours at the morning with "Lyon" poster. Opinions were optimistic but we had a hard time there. Only one guy stopped for four hours, crazy.―LukAshe

Was with a friend with a sign "Angers", found a car directly going to Paris (actually he was going to Nuremberg) so that was quite the luck! But this spot never failed me.―GermaineBreton

Best spot to go to Paris but hard to access! I had to walk 1h from Zamenhof (there's a bus stop to the name of the founder of Esperanto lol) to arrive but this is really worth it cause once you're there you'll find very quickly a ride.―GermaineBreton

The best solution to get out from Paris. Take a D train from Chatelêt to Villabé, or a C train to Juvisy, then another train to Villabé. Check well, not all D trains go this route. No trains after 21 h―Anonymous
