For hitchhiking both towards Caen and Paris. Good point if you can't get to the highway outside town. Stand on the point where the intersection merges with the highway. Wide shoulders = easy to pull over. Drivers come from the intersection and the roundabout, so not driving to fast. Started 9:30, held a big sign, got a lot of sympathy until picked up 50 minutes later, a straight ride to Caen.―Anonymous

advice to all who take this route to go to Calais/London, it took me about 4 hours to find a ride to Gatswick, most people passing through here go to paris or Rouen―Anonymous

When we arrived there were already hitchhikers going to Le Mans, who told us that somebody going to Paris had already stopped there in the previous hour. We got a hitch fast, the funny thing was that an other hitchhiker arrived with a sign "Caen", so we had every possible direction layed out.―Wther

after 20min, i got a ride to bosgouet rest area (direction caen) from someone going to le havre. my aim was nantes and it worked well then. i guess there are lots of locals at this spot.―Mikan
