This is a very very good toll fine and large in the same time, quiet bit easy to get a ride here

I went until strasbourg ! You can also ask the people at the toilets and get there when it rains. When it rains you have better chance to be taken (it worked for me and a friend (girl) of mine)

Frankly, never waited more than 10 minutes on this toll, searching for a car going to Paris. Don't hesitate to refuse cars not going until the paris toll station ! Lots of traffic going there !

I did this travel one time by month during a year and it's the best spot to leave Laval in the direction of Rennes. Wait a car for Rennes directly or at least the toll : La gravelle.
To arrive at this spot from Laval, take the bus I in the direction of St Berthevin until "Concorde" and go back until "avenue de la liberation" and turn at left and walk until the traffic circle. OR take the bus J in the direction of St berthevin and stop at "relais" after come back and turn right at Avenue de la liberation and walk until the traffic circle. Stay here with a sign and it will be good!

Good spot to hitch a ride in direction to Bretagne. I was left there by a local guy from Laval, because locals to some 10km in the national road and then get in the Auto Route in Brittany, which are free, against to Auto Routes in Pays-de-la-Loire which you have to pay. Waited less than 5 minutes to be picked up.
