I met another hitchhiker going the other direction here. She went after the gates, I went in front. She arranged the ride for me. Thanks again May!―Anonymous

5 min wait for a ride to Bordeaux. Enough space on the right for cars to stop―Blobby

Awful spot to go to the South and to Pau and even to go Bordeaux. Very few cars are stopping. you could get stuck for a long time easily.―Anonymous

Lots of cars coming through. I asked 5 people or so if they were going towards Paris, which they were because thats the only way to go from here, but they said no. One guy even asked me which was Paris to be able to say he was going the other way lol. But eventually I stood on the entrance with a sign (Paris) and a guy stopped and drove me all the way to the joining of the A11 and the A10, South of Paris.M23

That's the rocade D10. Easy for taking A10 in every direction (especially North (to Paris) and South (Bordeaux - Spain). There's a traffic light in both directions. Nice spot. Keep hichtmap alive please !! 🙌🏻―Anonymous

Not a good spot. Tried to ask, but everybody completely ignored me.I ended up asking the guy who took me there to take me a bit further.

I hitchhiked during holiday season, so there were a lot of cars that were full so I didn't try to ask. After an hour, a car that was going south of Bordeaux to the A63 took me, without a sign.

We ( Boy & Gril ) waited with another hitchhiker couple! They got a ride to the next gas station after 40mins. We were so lucky to find an elderly couple who speak english, that could take us all the way to Bordeaux :DWe definitely had to wait so long because not many pass by early in the morning! 2/3pm is the best time here.
Also it may be better to get a ride before the gas station in france as the gas prices are higher - still some people go to eat and do a stop here.
Just go around as ask 😁🌱

First car stopped for me – a friendly French senior told me this spot is along a pilgrimage route, so it’s a good place to catch a ride. Got almost halfway to Spain from here. Definitely recommended!―Anonymous

Direction: Langon, Agen, Toulouse. This is the national road. The highway is hard to get from Bordeaux. Take the bus 20 from the "place de la victoire" at the center. This bus goes to 3 different places, depending on the hour. Stop at "Pyrénées" and walk for 20mn. If you are lucky, you can get the bus who goes to "Cadaujac le Bouscaut", the terminus is the place to hitch(but this one is rare., only 3 a day).

Direction: Bayonne, Spain, Arcachon. From the center of Bordeaux, take the tramway Line B, stop at "Peixotto", then Take Bus 42 to "Ecole d'architecture". You can hitch at the bus station. The entrance is near. Most of the drivers go to the basque coast, or to Arcachon.

Direction Paris, Toulouse, LyonWhen you arrive from south / spain /west of bordeaux, and if the driver don't go further, ask him to stop you in this gas station. It's after the exit 16 of the periherical motorway.
