Direct way to Arles, but on national road, not highway. Young guy took us to nearest town, where we continued through Arles, Nimes, Montpellier and Perpignan.―Anonymous

Pretty fine place, lot of traffic. Two guys took us a bit further to the end of Marseille, where we continued through Arles, Nimes, Montpellier and Perpignan. Had a sign Arles.―Anonymous

Not much traffic, but a random guy asked us if we’re going to Marseille and took us there. We also had a sign “Mars” but here you can stop anyone anyway.―Anonymous

I asked for a drive out of the city or to Paris so a guy from Alžerija took me. He took me nearby airport even tho out of his way. The man was very nice even tho not speaking much english.―Anonymous

Just next to the barrier is very good spot to go south. I was holding sign Marseille and after an hour got a direct ride there. The station is very good - you can refill you water, use toilets for free and buy relatively not expensive coffee. During Sunday all traks are resting, however on working day it is worth to ask truckdrivers for a ride.―Anonymous

I waited for 1.5 h until someone stopped. I said just drive right behind the traffic light. There we had enough time to go into the car. Afterwards we drove around the building. I waited in front of the traffic light with a sign (direction Avignion / Salon De Pce)―Anonymous

Attention spot en plein cagnard mais efficace. J’ai attendu à peine 10 minutes pour aller à Aix-en-Provence.―Anonymous

Tried another spot closest to the exit and asked directly to people. Nothing happened. Stayed on this point and had someone 10mn later for a ride to Aix en Provence. Been lucky! Thanks Marie-Jo!―Anonymous

I came here around 7 pm on a Monday, got a lift to Marseille after less than 10 mins. However, cars go fast here and I feel like it was my luck.. Nice spot 🍀―ikikii

Two guys hitchhiking with a sign Nice and got ride to Toulon. We were hitchhiking little before roundabout after the bus stop. There is two lanes so some cars may drive past you even though they could give you ride. Same happened to us, but driver decided to circle back to us from the roundabout.―Slocrowth

Seems to be a good alternative to the roundabout at L'Arc de Triumph - slow traffic, traffic lights, wide shoulders - but it's horrible. We broke down eventually and took a bus to a better spot outside town (Aix-en-Provance). It's just not very freaquently used, compared to L'Arc (which also sucks as a hitchhiking point, for other reasons). However, when we were there (6.2009) there were road construction that made it difficult, maybe it's better now. Check at your own risk.―Anonymous

Seems like a good spot to hitchhike north to Avignon, Lyon or Paris - wide shoulders, cars taking the intersection slowely... But we waited for 2 hours and eventually gave up and changed our spot to the northern exit from Aix.―Anonymous

Perfect for getting to Marseilles. Up the hill from the round about not down even though signs in both directions say marseille.―Anonymous
