Really little traffic but I was lucky and a trucker took me to Toulouse.

Not so much traffic but you're likely to encounter those who go toward Pau/Toulouse

I've got there at 11.30pm. There is NOT so much traffic in the night there. Somehow I've got a ride at 2am

Il y a pas mal de familles et de personnes agées qui s'arretent là, donc ce n'est peut être pas l'idéal, même si on m'a pris rapidement.

Lots of families and old people stopping there. But I found a ride quickly.

Not so many cars and many go in different directions but we got a ride after ca 30min (actually alone I would have gotten a ride after 15)

REST AREA : Aire de Lacq-Audéjos

(8/7/13 : construction work on the store and the gas station, although they are still open.)

Gas station with store, food, bathrooms with showers, etc.

Nice park with tress and lots of shade in the summer. It seems easy to find a spot to put up a tent there, but someone will have to confirm that.

REST AREA : Aire de repos du Magret

Small rest area with bathrooms, water and picnic tables. Not as many cars stopping as in a gas station. Lots of families and old people. Lots of shade in summer.

Around 25 minutes wait on a Thursday night (19:40).

I had a big back pack with me and 2 card boards. One with a "next gas station symbol", and the other with Bayonne.

The place is good as there is a lot of space for drivers to stop and even a parking that seem to be used by carpoolers who work in the area.

I was picked up by a young guy coming back from work.
He asked me if I could participate in the highway costs, but was kind enough to still pick me up after I told him no.

He dropped me in front of the house of the friend I was visiting :-)

La première voiture s'est arrêtée, et a fait un détour pour m'amener jusqu'à ma destination !

En été, prise par des vacanciers italiens qui se rendaient en Espagne

If you like to see people it's nice, to go to Pau or Toulouse, else go to the toll :')
