On my way to Paris. I found in 5min different people who were going to Rennes, but I decided to wait a bit more because the entrance of Rennes is not a good spot to continue to Paris. And 5 min after someone proposed to drop me on the other side of Rennes before the highway heading to Le Mans and then Paris. So excellent spot where you can stay dry in case of bad weather :)

It's an ok spot for cars to pull over. Not too much traffic I think. I was lucky and got a ride to Le Mans very quickly. Probably good in the morning bc of commuters. If you have no luck at least you can buy food nearby.

I you want to go to Vannes/Gwened, there is enough space to stop by. Good place to hitchhike, just after the exit, where the N166 start. Plus, cars going to Lorient/An oriant can drop you there and go back on the motorway.

Decent spot for bretonic standards. Gas station, aire. I think there's only two between Lorient and Rennes.
