Good Spot : I waited 15minutes with a sign "A7 Aix" before being picked UP by a nice Father and her 10yo daughter. He dropped me at the gas station just before "Montelimar Sud" Exit―Anonymous

It is at the exit of the town so a lot of traffic coming through here and going to the A7. Also big area for cars to pull over however it is just after a turn and people see you very late. There may be other spots in town that are also good, not so far to walk and better visible but it worked really quick for me anyways.―Anonymous

This seems like the perfect place to hitch east. The traffic is slow after the roundabout, there is lots of space to stop. There was shade from the sun. I tried everything. At one point, I was helping drivers get peage tickets that were coning out of the machine too high. Still noone wanted to take me. A lot of traffic was going south.I shouldnhabe read the reviews that there's a country road going east so should have tried that.
Just as I was picking up my bags to walk somewhere else, a man picked me up and drove me where I was hoping to get to near valance!
I had a sign for orange/lyon which matched the road sign.
