Excellent spot car en sortie de péage, il est très facile de croiser des gens qui vont en direction de Clermont ou Vichy. Malgré une dizaine de voitures qui se sont arrêtées en une heure, personne n'allait dans ma direction (Ambert). C'est finalement un couple qui m'aura avancé jusqu'à la ville voisine.―Anonymous

Descendu ici pour continuer vers Limoges mais peu de trafic, mieux vaut descendre au péage juste avant l'échangeur, un peu plus loin. On s'en sort en abordant les conducteurs.―JB

Excellent spot, small toll station but a lot of traffic and a small parking.I was dropped at Thiers toll station and got a ride to Lyon before I could put my backpack down.

Towards Bordeaux.With sign. Waited just before the maut/tax station.
Waited here at 18:00, got a lucky ride. A local told me it’s a good spot towards Bordeaux, probably even less waiting during midday.

This spot is actually really good if you want to get to Lyon, or even Switzerland because there is a lot of traffic and they have a good place to stop next to the road, but I think it’s better to have a sign there. We 2 people got a ride next to Lyon with a guy that even bought us ice cream!―Fiorekonlife
