We went to Tarbes/Lurdes, as a couple we got a place quite fast (although there are just the drivers from one direction), a good spot in shadow near a Spar shop.―jendazack

A good place to hitchhike to both directions - at the end of the parking exit just before the roundabout there is a spot in shadow. As a couple we got a place quite fast to Toulouse. Also possible to eat/drink your own food inside the station, where is a quite rest area with tap water and toilets.―jendazack

(1 - female) Really good spot to go to France, during the lunch hour, a lot ok people stop to lunch, and you can ask and see with the car if there are French, Belge, ND … I found after 15 min a car who goes to the border but I decide to wait to find a better one. After few minutes I found a car to Toulouse, my final destination, it was perfect ! I didn’t use a sign, just talk to people who stop or who put some essence.―Anonymous

Very good spot. But it is not that easy to reach. We had to go thru a river. But it was ok. But you have to count with that. We ride with bus to stop named Commerce. Good to have a big sign―Gramgamel

Big Toll station. After 10 minutes some woman picked me up. Better hitchhike here from the city as you have to climb a fence or walk on the highway bridges which was very dangerous. Very good Spot with a sign.―JamonWithRamon

Best spot on my trip yet. Getting there was a bit rough but managable having to go through the Woods and over highway crossing car bridge from the industrial zone. Consider hitching a ride there instead of the bus. But once there i talked to 2 different people. And the second were some portuguese Guys that took me all the way to toulouse at 19:30! It doesnt really get better than that.―JamonWithRamon

The spot isn't the best if you want to go into the direction of Narbonne. Alot of the cars that stop were going into the city. Also there isn't really space to stop―jokndm

You must take a bus from Avignon to Remoulins and ask the bus driver to direct you to the Gare de Péage de Remoulins at Intersection 23 on A9 . This is a VERY good place to hitch South on A9―Colinc

Expected to wait shorter, i think it was bad luck, but got a ride to Toulouse. We waited 50 meters up the stopspot and got many reactions from people going not out direction. I think its the best spot to get to toulouse direction―zare

This spot is really good if you want to go to Albi (Tarn), or even to Rodez (Aveyron).I usually wait less than 5 min there, and often get a direct ride to my final destination.
To reach this spot, you need to take the subway/bus to Argoulets and then take the bus 68 (towards Castelmaurou) and stop at D59. Then, you have to cross the toll booth to reach the other side and wait (with a thumbs up) just before the rest area.
