Not a lot of movement but quite a few people going past Heilbronn so the spot ain't that bad.―Bombi

For the size of the station not many cars going here but it is a great spot nevertheless. Also can sleep in the forest behind the gas station. Asking around should be easiest here.―Bombi

Maybe I got lucky, but I just made my sign for Freiburg and was lazily eating my lunch someone just stopped and asked to take me. Still, there was a good number and flow of cars for all directions.―friki

Good spot, good flow of cars, going all directions west, good to have a sign for your specific area. Not a lot of shade at the exit though.―friki

Worst spot I could imagine. There is a gas station and Mc Donalds, but dead place and only local cars driving by. I got away by standing at this really dangerous triangle, no place to stop. Getting there was risky aswell, there was no footpath or traffic lights at all. I also asked people at the gas station and Mcdonalds, but I cant recommend.―Lii

Got a ride with the second car I asked. Not a lot of cars at around 10:00 in the morning on a friday. Lots of polish car signs and trucks, the people I asked were heading towards Karlsruhe and Ulm.―Lii

Not many cars here, mostly trucks - just ask. Waiting time: first car, which stopped (10 minutes).―Anonymous

Rastplatz Hohenlohe NordHitchhiking on Sunday, August 28th was very hard (had to stay overnight) cause cars were full with traveling families and trucks are not allowed to operate on Sundays (except for freezers). However, this place is in the nice area and with plenty of space for camping at the back of the station. I recommend to talk with truck drivers - a lot of them are going to France and willing to take travelers.

We were trying to get towards Freiburg. Most cars were going towards Stuttgart so not the best stop for this direction but we got a ride after about an hour bringing us before Karlsruhe―Anonymous

Long waiting time and no place to sleep in the night. Don't get tricked by the green dot's in Germany! It's very hard to get a ride here... Only people from abroad help you. Germans are very proud of themselves and are afraid of thieves. Asking for a ride is like: no we don't take hitchhikers, ahh we're going the other way sorry, (nothing he act like he can't see you)―Stanyly

"Stuttgart" on the sheet. boy+girl - big place, there is opportunity to wait at the end, but noone stopped for us. Better to ask at parking.―Cruller

Huge place, a lot of traffic here. Sadly many cars are families so are full. Gas open 24/7 so we could chill a bit.―Cruller
