The spot is easy tro reach by tram - however just few people seem to go far, so having a sign saying 'Gera' (east) or 'Erfurt' (west) does the job (there are gas stations on the way both direction)―Anonymous

A4bus stop before traffic lights so enough space for cars to stop and they are not driving that fast. accesible with s-bahn from centre (Platanenstrasse) +5 minutes walk

Good spot to go in the directions towards Dresden, and Frankfurt (A4) but also to Berlin and Munich (A9). At the gas station Hermsdorfer Kreuz is a tunnel which connects the 2sides.―Anonymous

the one and only spot in Jena to get nearly everywhere (best for the A9 and A4 to Dresden) - used in dozens of times, waited there from 5min to 3h, direct lifts to Berlin and even Munich possible!―Anonymous
