Nothing else worked in Poznan to get to Berlin, you have to jump over the fence to get there and it's difficult for the passenger cars to stop at the parking lot because it's 2 lanes of truck toll gates but we managed to catch a ride with two Kurdish guys getting back from work

We were here on a sunday mornig as we tried to get to France. We (two guys) were really unlucky and the only friendly people could've taken one of us. We went from the gas station to kaiserdamm and tried at the traffic light with signs for 40 minutes but had no luck.
We gave up and went to Michendorf, had luck there

I arrived here at 18.30 which is quite late but still got a 90km ride towards hamburg. I would recomend taking the S-bahn to schulzendorf and walking the 200m to the onramp to the autobahn and just thumbing there or having a tankstelle sign to get here. I only waited 15 minutes for a ride to get to the gas station and i was there in the evening :)

Lots of construction work here and down the road. Dont hitch here. Take the U6 a bit further and then S25 untill you get to Schultzendorf and try to hitch at the on ramp there.

Legendary place for going from Hamburg to Berlin, in my experience. I’ve been picked up twice by drivers going all the way to Berlin and never had to wait more than 15 minutes. Lots of commuters pass the roundabout, traffic is slow enough to stop and there’s a wonderfully wide shoulder. Chef’s kiss.

Did not seem like there was a lot of traffic, but a guy offered me a lift quickly. Stood at the exit of the autohof 100 m before the intersection, there cars can pull over in the driveways. No space to stand or for cars to pull over after intersection.

To anyone aiming for this spot, be it the petrol station or the side of the road : go somewhere else !
I got extremely lucky, my driver was local and did a lot of hitchhiking. There are currently roadworks on the highway, so if you want to go to Hamburg this is a bad spot.
He suggested going further south, near the beginning of the A111 highway.
