Got really lucky and got picked up by a mother with her daughter after asking where they were going―Anonymous

Legendary place for going from Hamburg to Berlin, in my experience. I’ve been picked up twice by drivers going all the way to Berlin and never had to wait more than 15 minutes. Lots of commuters pass the roundabout, traffic is slow enough to stop and there’s a wonderfully wide shoulder. Chef’s kiss.―Kreft

I asked around and got a ride with the second car I asked―bruzzel

Took a solid while, maybe I was unlucky. Got there at 2pm, left at 5pm. Was hopping to get straight to Hamburg and could only get a ride halfway there. Toilets cost 1€.―Anonymous

Did not seem like there was a lot of traffic, but a guy offered me a lift quickly. Stood at the exit of the autohof 100 m before the intersection, there cars can pull over in the driveways. No space to stand or for cars to pull over after intersection.―Frederik

To anyone aiming for this spot, be it the petrol station or the side of the road : go somewhere else !I got extremely lucky, my driver was local and did a lot of hitchhiking. There are currently roadworks on the highway, so if you want to go to Hamburg this is a bad spot.
He suggested going further south, near the beginning of the A111 highway.

DONT go too late we are 2 guys we started at 1700 with a hamburg sign it was mostly family cars but eventually we got picked up, it was also quite a long walk to the gas station, we took a train to heligensee and walked 6 kilometers. But if you are trying to get to hamburg or north try at 1200―GormsGraesstra

Two guys hitchhiking. We hitchhiked here from Wannsee to Potsdam intending to head southwest, either to Leipzig or Magdeburg. We hiked from here since there was construction at the on ramp to the autobahn in Nikolasse. We were picked up quite quickly and there’s a busstop + handicapparking where the drivers can pick you up.Please note that if you just want to get to Potsdam you can take the S-bahn from Berlin instead.

A very good place for drivers to notice you with ample space to pull over. We were hitchhiking two people toward Berlin, with a clear sign, and were picked up within 15 minutes. The driver brought us all the way to our destination. Would recommend!―Ledan
