Incredible spot, I took 15 minutes writing my sign, and a car stopped in 30 seconds.

Waited for 2 hours with some cars being unable to take us because we were with 3 people. Originally the plan was ulm or Munich. The amazing guy that eventually picked us up went to Lindau via ulm.
Lindau is a village on lake Constance, the biggest lake in Germany and we decided to go along.

It was a bit tricky, but in theory cars can stop easily. There are a lot of cars coming by but it took long until the first person stopped.

Got a lift to Romanshorn on a Saturday afternoon after ca. 15 minutes with a Bregenz sign. Our driver first tried to stop at the bus stop where we were standing and then had to drive on to the gas station just ahead because of a bus behind her.

Hitched with a sign at the bus stop. Since there was a bus behind our driver’s car, she drove to the gas station just ahead and waited for us there.

looks like a good spot, cuz all the traffic which leaves the island has to pass this (perfect)spot. but somehow in almost 2 hours just a lady stopt.

Some free parking spots along the road make it possible for cars to pull in. This is not ideal, but it works somehow. Experienced waiting time ca. 20 min.

We were travelling from Konstanz to Italy, and got left here. There isn't much space for cars to stop, but one did somehow.

I didn´t to waste my time going around the lake so I took a ferry to Meersburg (direction Munich), it was only 2.9 EUR and it was a great view from a boat :)

Approach the people waiting for the ferry! Got a lift to Zurich after 10 min of asking.
