plenty of traffic on a sunday night. got a lift to cologne within 20 minutes but the station is a bit hidden behind a wide turn so maybe not as much traffic as on nearby petrol stations...

I came here from Nürnberg and by asking people at the gas station and the parking spaces, it took me 45 minutes to get a lift to Köln. In my opinion not the best spot, maybe try Weisheim!

Resting Area with gas station "Rohrbrunn". Quite some traffic. Good possibilities to find a ride to Frankfurt. Also some drivers going west, maybe north as well.

Good spot for hitching to the A3 direction Frankfurt. Space for cars to stop, and fast road with probably most cars going to the motorway. Only one experience so far, though.

Guter Platz, um auf die A3 Richtung Frankfurt zu trampen. Platz für Autos, anzuhalten und ich glaube, alle Autos fahren auf die Autobahn, oder zumindest bis dahin. Aber erst einmal ausprobiert.

Only long-distance trucks stayed here, would rather recommend using the previous available gas station than this one. On the other hand, we still got picked up and rode about 300 km to Frankfurt. (1 M, 1 F)

You need a sign for car to see you since they drive relatively fast.
They were lot of parking spot free but it might not always be the case

Giant service station and parking lot, unfortunately only paid bathrooms. Asked the people who took me there to refill my water bottle (super nice!) and literally got in the car parking right next to them. Lots of people to ask and ideal for going down the A3. I was there around 18:00 on a Friday in summer.

Lots of families around 16:00 on a summer Friday, but quickly found a nice couple traversing Germany who took me around Frankfurt about halfway to Würzburg.
