probably would’ve been a good spot but there was an accident so the highway was closed…omnibus driver picked us up and we had the most luxurious ride hihi. we also met him again later in. he offer drives close to aschersleben so if you meet a guy named thomas in this region, ask him if he ever took hitchhikers and if he says yes, tell him we are most greatful!―3br1l

very populated place, most tourists starts hiking to the brocken (highest mountain in the harz) from here, also wintersport tourist will most probably have a parking here. in the afternoon many of them are leaving to the north (Bad Harzburg, Braunschweig) it will be no problem t o get a lift. near this parking you can also find small restaurants and clean toilets.―Anonymous

Super easy to get to Torfhaus/Braunlage very fast, on the other side it's also easy to get to Braunschweig and sometimes the A2 or further. A7 is more difficult, try to get to Goslar in the direction of Langelsheim for that.―Anonymous
