Alot of cars with kids (no space for hitchhikers) But alot of cars also stop for you. You can find your direction (Netherlands/Cologne) In under an hour―Anonymous

I took the train to weiskirchen and walked to this stop due to its great ratings. And it lived up to it. I was there on a Tuesday around midday and only asked maybe 6 people until I found a person with an Austrian plate (I tried to go to Vienna) and the person was heading to Nürnberg and dropped me off at a gas station before entering the city. There was quite a few people from the Netherlands who also drove to Austria but didn’t have any space left. One person also offered to take me to Würzburg. If I’m in the area I will definitely come back to this spot to cover greater distances.―Aren

I think location is generally good, especially going south (I was going East). Lots of traffic on a Wednesday at 4:00 pm. I was standing in the bus lane near traffic. The bus comes infrequently when I was there so it should be fine, just be careful since traffic is going fast. Giving it 3 stars because my experience went a bit rough. First hour had a sign that said “Ost” (East) and looked like a mess, it didn’t work. Changed my sign to “A3 Wurzberg” and cleaned up a bit, had 3 cars stopped and finally had one take me to a service station (better loco for going east).―Wiisportzs

Got a ride instantly at the Shell and asking the first person. Got a ride to Regensburgs. I got really lucky I think. Pretty normal place for hitchhikers, I met a few. Not much traffic though for a 6 pm on a Wednesday.―Wiisportzs

Got here in the evening at 6, had no luck for the rest of the day, so i slept in the woods ( lots of nice spots). In the morning it took 15 minutes to get a ride to Wurzberg. Good spot.―stepanfoj

Stood at the end with a sign, a lot of cars park near the end so you can ask around and use the sign or a thumb at the same time. After 30 minutes a turkish guy took me to a gas station after Frankfurt. Pretty good and lots of traffic.―stepanfoj

Two guys hitchhiking to München. We got a lift to Regensburg (north of München). We were picked up after a while by a nice lady heading to Austria. We stood by the on-ramp to the autobahn. It’s not a perfect place for the drivers to pick you up, as they can easily block traffic, but if there’s a will there’s a way.―Ledan

All the truck drivers were either resting or having a break of 2-3 hours, so I had my lunch here, ended up having barbecue and vodka with the Ukrainian truck drivers and then after that found an Afghani couple heading to Frankfurt, who had never heard of hitchhiking but who were happy to take me.―anettlee17

it’s a very good spot. Many card heading to the East and South. There are mostly German card but also Czech and Polish. Worth a shot. There are a few reataurants so people stay for a quite long time. Higly recommend!―Monomisia

A very large service station on the A3. I got a ride - direction Karlsruhe in 30mins. If you need to cross on the other side, there's a little bridge to the east.―Anonymous
