This place is counterintuitive, or I just got lucky, but I was exhausted and in a not-so-great mood, so I desperately wanted to get out of Germany. So I got a sign saying BE, and it took just a couple of minutes to get a ride to the small town of Kelmis in Belgium.―Anonymous

I made a mistake and trusted my driver that this would be a good place. It was not. I tried standard hitchhiking, but soon realized that there is too heavy traffic for that here. So I started asking at the gas station, and that worked after some time.―Anonymous

This was a good spot for the Aachen direction. You can be clearly seen, and the cars are slow from the crossroad. They can also easily stop at the bus station.―Anonymous

I stood at the roundabout on the end. There was a lot of traffic. Had a sign saying Köln. Then a guy took me past it to a station in the direction of Frankfurt. Good spot. You can get here by bus from Aachen very easily, the bus station is right next to the station.―stepanfoj

Right now the roundabout is closed due to construction. If youre heading to Köln i reccomend taking the 52 bus from the city centre to the gas station on autobahn 4. Its like 10 minutes.―stepanfoj

Took me two hours to find someone to go in the direction of Liège. To be fair, it was a bad time, Mid-November on a weekday when it was super foggy, but most people were just going to Aachen or North to the Netherlands or Antwerp. So if you wanna go there, it's a good spot, I guess. However the person who took me was super nice and even made a small detour for me.―thebeekeeper

Good starting spot to get to Aachen and beyond to Belgium or NL, easy to reach with public transport too. I wasn't even there at a good time (Mid-November on a weekday, very foggy weather) and still found a ride to Aachen pretty quickly by asking around.―thebeekeeper
