When i arrived a truck was there and upon asking took me straight to leipzig. To get to the spot i took the bus to Auchan and walked along the fence until i found a hole―Anonymous

I waited two hours but it was a low traffic day and eventually there was some works on the gas station. Definitely the best place to go west ! Got a ride to Leipzig. If you really want to go to Germany it's completely doable there's a lot of Germans. Actually more than Austrians haha. But you have to talk to them. I waited almost two hours at the exit of the gas station then I decided to talk directly to the gas station and I was offered also a ride by a bus driver for free to Graz at the same moment I asked Hungarian couple with a dutch plate, they were going at the North of Holland but we agree to let them drop me at Leipzig. Thanks Catarina and Zaly :)―Anonymous

It’s shortly before Hamburg, so unless you want to go there, don’t stop here. We wanted to go further south, and no one was going further than Hamburg―Hitchiker

It's not an ideal spot. There are traffic lights, so cars drive slowly, and there's a bus stop where they can stop, but if you're alone, only the cars in front will see you. If there are two of you, one person can go a little ahead so passing cars can see them first.―Anonymous

The first car I approached took me all the way to Leipzig, look for German licence plates and they have Bundesrepublik on their plates.―Anonymous

Not so lucky as some others, but still fairly good. I hitchiked with a sing 'Dresden'. I started on Sunday at 11 a.m., so not many cars going longer distance.―Anonymous

Spot is really a gem for direction Dresden and lot of room to stop, got a ride around 40 mins but no sign. May June July hitchhikers beware : you’ll have to hike around 15 minutes in a dense vegetation ditch full of thorns and wheat shrub, impassable for shoes other than Hike boot or mountaineering.P.s. found 30€ in cash while walking to the spot. Reminds me how much we all pay for Idiot tax in life…

I got a lift down the A9 to Hermsdorfer Kreuz early on a Saturday afternoon. Lots of cars, good atmosphere. Before, various drivers had offered me to take me to destinations that were not far enough and people came me to give me water, a tomato and chocolate croissants.―stonefruit
