I stood there for almost an hour with a sign saying Köln and Essen on Monday at 11. many cars passed by but the vibe was not great. Frankfurt is a banker city and the people gave me weird looks. However one van stopped after 20 minutes, they were going to Hannover though. After a while a guy driving to Bochum (city right next to Essen) took me along and we had a great ride :)―Arenwithane

Pretty good to go south out of Frankfurt. There’s a lot of space for cars to stop right before the entrance to the gasstation. Stood there with a sign „Darmstadt“ and eventually someone took me there. Asking around the gasstation didn’t work for me here as most people stayed in Frankfurt―Anonymous

First day noone going south, only Frankfurt or Frankfurt airport. Next day we had a sign saying A5 SOUTH wich was very helpful and got picked up in 20-30 minutes, and drove close to Landau. Got dropped of at gas station near Edesheim. 20 minute walk there, and a store, so you can buy food etc.―Stokars

needed to get to A5 south, people ignored us or looked disgusted, lot of rich people and taxis. after some hours i decided to hide and let my girlfriend take the job. after a while some bolt guy offered blowjob to her, than marriage, but took us to the first gas station on A5 for free.
