Had to ask a lot of people for a ride. Many were jammpacked with stuff in their cars coming back from holidays. I was lucky as a couple accommodated me a spot in their car even if they were packed.―Cottano

good spot for leaving hambourg but hard for long distancei tried with a sign ‘flenburg’ and ‘kiel’ and the kiel one works
perhaps it’s still really good for getting to the north and they’re is space for cars to stop
don’t forget to get a sign they’re getting fast

A guy and a girl on a Monday evening with an arrow sign (in the direction of Hamburg). There is place for cars to stop, and traffic is dense and slow. A lot of local traffic though, but enough people going far as well.―JumpingRabbit

A guy and a girl on a Tuesday morning with an arrow sign pointing to Hamburg/Kiel and a "HH" sign. This spot is good in theory, but there was only local traffic or people that ignored us. We also tried the other side of the road, further north, but it was also bad, even though there were more cars going to Hamburg.―JumpingRabbit

September 2014. As a group of 3, we camped there. The staff wasn't that friendly. We had to part ways here. We stumbled upon 3 other hitchhikers on that gas station (2 of them from Hitchgathering, going to Turkey). We were the last ones to get a ride after quite a long waiting time.―Ewelinalucy
