Most people were going to Paris, but I got extremely lucky and very soon found a couple taking me all the way to Düsseldorf, Germany!I arrived there when it was already dark so it was a plus that you can technically reach Orleans by public transport if you don’t have a tent nor want to spend the night outside. Also there is probably more traffic there in summer or during the day with people going further than Paris

Wanted to go on A61 direction Koblenz on a saturday in May. Good place for cars to stop but they didn't stop. In the end people who walked in the nature park and parked over there took me away a little bit further on the A61.―Anonymous

Because of no cars got very fast a car to the first next tankstation from locals. I stood just after the traffic lights in the grass. Its a funny place where are bikers and old people in handicapped-cars on the middle of the road, and the owners of the cafe are dutch.―Anonymous
