put your backpack in front on the restaurant and ask people of both side (parking and gas station)

There's a bus stop at the verge where people easily can stop. Years ago when I live in Rotenburg I always used this spot for local hitch-hiking. But also to get to a highway in direction to Hamburg e.g. it's a good spot, easy to get away.―Anonymous

Good amount of traffic goes by here. We asked around at the gas station and stood by the split with a sign where all the cars come through. Got a ride all the way to Arnhem with a dutchie.―Siemieon

Very nice spot. A lot of traffic goes by here. Got a ride within 5/10 minutes to Bremen. Better to ask with the people pumping gas but standing at the side of the road with a sign is also fine. Traffic does move fast there though.―Siemieon
