It is a good place. But we wanted to go to the Germany. There were many Germans on the gas station and they were completely full. So we waited there a long time. After that we got a long ride. Got a ride to Nuremberg after 30 mins.By far the best spot to leave the Rhein-Neckar area in direction south and east. Take S9 from Mannheim and walk to the spot. The gate is open

It was an awful place for me. Waited around 4 hours for someone to give me a ride (tried both sides, talking to people and just catching by the exit). the place is very run down, there were a lot of people there the whole duration of my stay - however they weren't helpful.
