I was heading towards Ingolstadt from here which was quite a bit difficult. I first tried to stand at the road where is very little space for drivers to pull over but still it works. There is also a gas station at the opposite side so try both. To Augsburg would have been easier. It took me more than one hour in the bitter cold German March time until someone gave me a ride to Ingolstadt.―Anonymous
