Traffic going to Stuttgart + an easy space for them to stop.

Lots of traffic that is driving slow because of the lights, also a space for cars to stop.

Very few cars and sleeping people in trucks. You could get stuck.

the place is ok, the cars are fast but they have enough space to stop. we waited just 10min, but i think we had good luck.

For me a good spot. Waited here two hours, but just because I try it in the night and afterward in the early morning. Still a lot of traffic passing by in the east direction and a lot of truck going eastwards

I disagree. This service area seems to be dying out, as there is a SA with a McDonalds just before and another with Burger King some kilometers East, while this has none of these. I'd rather avoid this place, not too much traffic. Still hitchable as an average service area in Germany but I guess this place won't have a bright future.

Tried hitching from here 4 days ago. Was a nightmare. 3 hours without anyone even taking a second glance! Go to service station before

Highway ramp close to the junction. easy to get seen, easy to stop for the cars. Its perfect to get a lift to the west and north (Mannheim, Frankfurt)

A good spot if you want hitch on the A6. The cars are slow here.
To stand direct on the traffic light is not a good idea because the cars have no possibility to stop there.

Tuesday morning, the place was a bit more sleepy than usual rasthof, even though it serves both directions. I hitchhiked direction Nurnberg and many people said they go only to Heilbron and Stuttgart, but there is no petrol station on A6 on that way. If you go to Nurnberg, you need to get at least to Hohenlohe. Waited about 1 hour to get a car to Nurnberg. Overall not great, not terrible.

Very less traffic, going direction to Nürnberg. You usually have a chance to go just with the truck.

No one took us, but that may be because we wanted to go towards Nürnberg which is relatively far and it was Monday late morning. The street leads straight to the highway and one is well seen and there is a good place for the cars to stop, though.

Quite quickly i found a turkish truck driver who took me all the way to Prague (guess my basic knowledge of turkish helped). Waited 1 hour for his departurs time. Threre were a lot of trucks, also personal car traffic on the petrol station didnt seem too bad, but i didnt try there.
