Not a bad spot for hitchhiking, but generally, I think you are better off asking around the parking lot. I met another hitchhiker here; he was asking around and got a ride before me. A lot of traffic south here, not so much for Nürmberg though.―Anonymous

I´ve never hiked from this place, but since i´m originally from schwandorf and have some hitchhiking experience i would propose this location. here is a new gas station right in front of the highway. since i think the best way to hichhike is to talk to people directly this should be the best place. good luck―Anonymous

eine große Shell Tankstelle, an der paar Leute tanken , die von der Autobahn kurz abfahren. Problem ist nur, dass es in beide Richtungen erstmal keine Raststätten gibt und man entweder einen weiten Lift bekommen muss oder sich nur bis zu einem Prakplatz bringen lässt, was ich gemacht habe und was super funktioniert hat.―Anonymous

Once have been "dropped" at the OMV station, it was no longer possible for the two of us to hitchhike on the A93 towards Regensburg. The busy road is fenced all the way around and crossing it would be very dangerous. The driveway is also leading in many directions from there what makes it difficult to hitchhike with a sign. Through a conversation, we were able to get a lift to the McDonald's on the opposite side of the road and continue from there.―Anonymous

Directly behind the McDonald's is a "natural" parking bay free of grass, which was obviously often used dir Card to stop beide heading to the highway. For the drive via the A93 - direction south we got a lift directly to Regensburg in only 15min. In the afternoon it is easy to go with the rush hour Traffic.―Anonymous
