At the entry to the gasstation. First tried a sign "6km" to get to Garbsen, than "Osnabruck". Eventually got a ride to Auetal without using a sign.

Gas station and restpoint. great place for hitchhiking to Magdeburg, Berlin and further. we spent about five minutes asking for lift.

Tankstation Auetal, Good to get lifts to Bielefeld, Hamm, Dortmund. Also the last tankstation if you want to go on the A30 to Osnabrück or the Netherlands.Watch out for yellow numberplates!

Plenty of traffic at the fuel station, recommended. Most dutch people go for the A30 but you can find lifts towards Cologne and Belgium as well.

On weekends also ask Polish drivers who are most likely returning to the Netherlands!

Was accidentally droppen off here instead of Auental Nord (my mistake), but still managed to get a ride here within 30 minutes to Hamm. It's just a smaller parking place, but enough traffic going by to get a ride further down the A2.

But if you can, go to Auental Nord, way more traffic over there.

A lot of cars flowing through here so good chance to catch a ride, 24/7 sevice area and people there were even nice enough to let us pitch our tent inside since we got stuck there in the evening. Can also shower for €3

a lot of cars. I changed to the end of the reat area to get all cars. For me it was a good starting point to Poland (Warsaw)
