I stood there for almost an hour with a sign saying Köln and Essen on Monday at 11. many cars passed by but the vibe was not great. Frankfurt is a banker city and the people gave me weird looks. However one van stopped after 20 minutes, they were going to Hannover though. After a while a guy driving to Bochum (city right next to Essen) took me along and we had a great ride :)―Arenwithane

Good for loca rides to Bochum, Essen, Gelsenkirchen...Senseless for further destinations. Therefore you better walk to the Sozialakademie which is 1 km to the east.
