Left from here in the middle of the night to Eindhoven because of the absence of trains at this time of the day. Although I don't recommend this, I got a ride quite fast (20minutes). There are only a few cars stopping at this petrol station at this time, so you need a bit of luck. During the day it's often much more busy here, it's the best spot to go from Roermond in the direction of Eindhoven.―Anonymous

Got stuck here in Nov '12 after mistake on our map: petrol station to the south turned out to be an empty parking lot. Stood here on a Sunday, so many full family cars.―Ostkreuz

***THE OTHER SIDE******Problem of Hitchwiki that you cannot add a new spot***
after a guy drop us "in the other side" we used a panel Belgium but our destination was Luxembourg, we started to talk with people parking and a guy was going directly to Luxembourg! so it's doable.

I didn't try hitchhiking here yet, but it looks like a decent hitchhiking spot : enough space, cars are driving quite slow, good visibility for both you and the driver. Maybe not so much traffic on some points of the day.―Anonymous

Werid place : hunderds of cars where driving off the highway (people coming from work), almost nobody was going towards Holland. After 20 minutes, a guy drove me to Roosteren.Might be a good spot in the weekend, as a lot of Germans go shopping in Roermond

Gas station on south side of N280 (de facto a highway), toward Germany, but also connected toward Roermond.Tried here for ages, also on the sliproad toward Roermond, but no luck for 4 hours.
First time I had to give up hitchhiking after a good start from Düsseldorf.
