Medium to low amount of traffic, but there is a roundabout so cars go slow & can see you from some distance and the road behind the roundabout has two lines, so enough space to stop.Also if you got stranded here or want to stay here I can HIGHLY recommend Camping Corali, only 10€ per night, directly at the beach, also good restaurant with reasonable prices there and a mini market.

A bit of a hike out of Lefkada, but perfect spot to move further. Two cars stopped within 5 minutes. First was packed until the top, second too but they took me to Nydri.―platschi

There is a free kind of shuttle service for cyclists (you have to call some number and then they pick you up) through the tunnel. If you are lucky to find a cyclist who ist willing to take you with him you can get a free ride there as pedestrian as well―Tonajan
